Pico Blanco offers a great variety of Sport Climbing Routes, from easy 5.9s to advanced 5.13+ routes; Bouldering problems from V0 all the way up to V11+; and one of the few sectors where you can Multipitch.
It has incredible views to the city so definitely a crag worth exploring. It is located in the protected wilderness area of "Cerros de Escazú".
How to get there?
The best way to get around Costa Rica is using a navigation app such as Waze. Just search for "Pico Blanco - Entrada sendero" and it will take you right to the parking area where you will start hiking.
From here on, there are several sectors that you can visit:
The main sport climbing area, also called "La Torre", will take require a 30-45 min steep hike.
"Compton" is another much smaller sector with beginner routes, but also offers amazing views to the city.
Bouldering sectors are scattered throughout the area connected by a little maze of small trails.

To get to this area you need to follow the main Trail from the parking spot, about 15 minutes, past a creek on your left hand side, and up to a point where you will see the following sign on your right side:
Take a right through the fence and continue straight up the hill for about 20 minutes. The pasture will turn into a pine forest, just continue 5 more minutes and you'll get to the base of the rock.
